We stayed at Abbeymoore Manor for two nights just prior to Thanksgiving weekend. Ian and Anne were very welcoming and were happy to accomodate our late night arrival. The Rose Room, with its extremely comfortable King size bed, was superbly appointed and ideal for a couple looking for a romantic getaway. Our stay at Abbey Moore was wonderful!! Not only were the grounds beautiful and welcoming so were our hosts, Ian and Ann. The small touch of the welcome orientation made our stay, this included giving us some tips of the bottomless tea pot and food service at the Empress hotel. This was our first stop on our honeymoon. Ian and Anne were very welcoming and great tour guides. We came to town without any plans, and they gave us a list of things to do and a fabulous list of restaurants. It's a wonderful place to stay, and breakfast is out of this world. meer

Abbeymoore was adequate, but it really wasn't as fantastic as I thought it would be given the outstanding reviews. We stayed in one of the ground level suites because we wanted a kitchen for our long stay (>1wk) but the suite was not very well equipped. Abbeymore Manor is a beatiful big house situated near by the center (5 minutes drive, 25 minutes walk). Right across the street there is a beautiful park which can be used and if you’re lucky you can see deers crossing the street when you’re having breakfast on the porch. What do you want more? The service from Ian & Anne were second to none. Very hospitable and friendly. My wife and I stayed in the Penthouse, which is the entire top floor of the inn. The room was well equipped.
