The Eastland is right in the heart of Portland and is comparable in price to the others that are there. We got a package deal off the web site of the hotel which gave us a lot of extras that by far put the Eastland over the top when booking. We stayed in the Eastland Park Hotel while attending a wedding Portland. The hotel staff were very pleasant and check-in was very easy. When we booked, we were not able to get a suite but we were pleasantly surprised by the size of our room as it was much larger than we were expecting. When I arrived, I didn't know what to expect because of the age of the Hotel. But to my surprise, the accomodations of the staff, the room appearance, and the food was very good. For every need that I requested, the service and timing was also very good. My experience at this hotel was much better than a lot of the newer hotels. Comfy rooms, great location with easy access to the waterfront. Hotel was in great shape for as long as it's been around. Hotel staff was friendly and the hotel provided great food at a decent price. Okay, at first I thought it would be a newer more modern Hotel as their web site had led me to beleive. Traveled to Portland for a business conference and stayed at the Eastland Park Hotel. The bed was comfortable, the room was warm (and clean!), and the hotel offered tea/coffee 24 hrs in the lobby. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The fitness room on site was small but they have a parternship with a local gym. I'd prefer to workout at the hotel than going some place else. Built during the twenties the hotel has been renovated and expanded without destroying the ambiance. Interesting photos taken when the building was new are exhibited in the lobby and corridors. Our room, in the newer section, was magnificent with a corner window and desk overlooking the city. Free wireless internet was slow because of the location in the building.
